Health Update at LBMS
News from the Nurse

Hello Parents,

I'm sorry to report that I just received confirmation of a case of Mono in the 7th grade.  Incubation for Mono (the time between exposure to the virus and when symptoms appear) can be up to 4 weeks.  Since this timing will put us well into summer break, I wanted you to be aware.  More common symptoms include sore throat, tender swollen lymph nodes in the neck and of course fatigue.  If your child exhibits any of these symptoms, I would recommend a visit to the doctor or walk-in clinic.

Have a restful healthy summer!

It is never too early to start planning for next school year!  If your child needs immunizations or a physical exam, you may want to consider taking them to the Kids 1st Health Fair.  Please see the attached flyer for information.
